I'm running the latest cvs under KXStudio 64bit but I don't get any sound out the muse metronome unless I have a MIDI track with a synth attached. I have tried the metronome in 'audio beep' (with output set to 'Out 1' and not), plus the two and four sample modes but none work if you start from an empty session.
Try this:
Open a new Muse session, enable the metronome. Create a MIDI track + arm it then push record+play in the transport, record for a while then stop. Without me touching my MIDI keyboard or mouse I end up with loads of notes entered at D#3
Just compiled the latest svn under KXStudio 64 and tried this again but I still have the same problem in that the metronome adds MIDI notes to the track whenever its enabled.
KXStudio / Cadence uses an ALSA MIDI bridge via ALSA2JACK if that could be an issue? If you don't have that running, you don't get any MIDI inputs under Muse.
Hmm, indeed something is not working right... As a workaround I got the audio metronome working by disabling the midi one.
I'll take a look at fixing this.
You're right - it does only happen when the MIDI metronome is enabled too. I can live without the MIDI metronome as I normally use the audio metronome but this does still look like a bug, just not as bad as the original subject makes out.
Thanks Robert!
Was going to take a look at this but I'm having trouble reproducing with latest svn. If possible please test it again.
