Hi, I confirm some samples or presets are not listenable from the menu. Don't know if it is related to their formats... I even think some of the samples coming with the lmms are not usuable at all, they produce no sound outside lmms. As far as I remember this is the case for two snare drum plugins... Do you plan to have a FLAC support ? I ask that just because I had to convert a lot a sample files to wav manually :) Do you know if FLAC files would be processed a better/faster way by lmms (increasing performances) than OGG Vorbis files are ? Regarding the question about the ability for lmms to graphically render a random number of instruments, automation editors at the same time I would say that the limitation of only one of each item may be displayed at a time is a better solution : my lmms's workplace rapidly becomes a great mess. If the selection of one instrument always replace the current one I could decide to always show the instrument editor let's say in the upper right corner. To achieve this currently I would have to place all instrument windows at the exacte same place manually, boring. AFAIK, lmms can't display two piano rolls in the same time, does somebody ever complained about that ? Do you really think someone will do for the instrument windows ? I know you're a drag'n'drop addict and I must admit that if one can display many instruments at once it could be interesting for him in a live context, if he controls lmms with an external midi controler he would be able to check the patching visually. Have a nice day you deserve it. Stef |
