What I find myself doing is constantly hitting the play button on the song
editor when I'm working in context of the piano roll.

The exploitation is to use the record/play button when composing but it
would be quite terrific to have a button that automatically plays at the
beginning of the piano roll's position in the song editor without having to
set loop points, incorrect buttons, etc.
