Sure but, that's a whole lot of a bigger change than any of the ones I
mentioned... and what all would this "live mode" entail? Specific
suggestions for features would be more useful than just saying "live mode".

In any case, I think all the features I mentioned could well be
incorporated into LMMS as is, with no need for a separate mode of
operation. Moving and duplicating loops could be useful in regular
composing as well, not just in live play.
