Hi Alex, thank you for your ideas. About filtering: is what you propose linked to the fact that it is difficult to automate filters with linear scale - that is 0 100 200 300 ....1000 1100...2000 2100...? It is rather a known problem, frequency scale would behave probably better if it would be logaritmically spaced (equispaced knob movement between [10 100] and [100 1000] for example: as you will notice the difference between 10000 Hz and 11000 Hz is almost unhearable, while the difference between 1000 and 2000 is always 1000 but it's much more hearable).
