It'd be kind of nice to have true quadraphonic output, but since it's a complete sham as it is it might as well be ditched for clarity. If someone wants to write a separate set of code, say around version 2.7.5, to do ~ cranioaural and three-dimensional sound source modelling with reflections, reverb, phase shifting and equalisation changes, then that'd be doing it properly. I demoed LMMS 0.4 at my Linux group the other night and it worked very well. I've also had my proposal accepted to speak at the Open Source Developers Conference about writing documentation, based on my experiences with writing the documentation for LMMS (which I am about to get back into for the 0.4 release). When there's a link to my materials up I'll let you know more about the talk. I'm also going to be submitting a similar talk proposal for LCA 2009 in Hobart, and I encourage Toby and/or Paul G. to put a talk proposal in on the technical challenges of converting a large project to Qt 4 / MVC / Cmake / all three (and apply for travel assistance).
