Adds plugins/hermes, a Hermes Agent directory plugin for the Hermes plugin catalog. It installs the existing LLMSlimContextEngine with hermes plugins install, and context.engine: llmslim selects it.
plugins/hermes/plugin.yaml: pins llmslim==0.11.1 as the only Python dependency, requires_hermes: ">=0.21.7", no tools, hooks or env vars, and a config_schema for the five numeric engine settings (the Hermes desktop app shows them as a form).
plugins/hermes/__init__.py: re-exports register and LLMSlimContextEngine from llmslim.integrations.hermes. Naming the engine class also lets Hermes's context engine loader pick the directory up from context.engine alone.
plugins/hermes/README.md: the page the catalog renders (install, behaviour, settings, disclosure, and the optional llmslim mcp memory server config).
docs/integrations/HERMES.md: the one-command install. CHANGELOG.md: an Unreleased entry.
tests/test_integrations_hermes.py: loads the shipped directory through Hermes's context engine loader (skipped without Hermes, like the rest of the file).
The catalog entry (NousResearch/hermes-agent#142212) pins commit 3dfd4978add7da277b65b8201998bce019c93d83 of this branch. Please merge with a merge commit, not squash or rebase, so that commit stays reachable from main.
Tested on Windows 11 with Python 3.14, no model calls:
hermes plugins validate --install-deps and hermes plugins doctor --ci pass on Hermes v0.21.7, v0.22.2 and current main.
tests/test_integrations_hermes.py: 27 passed against each of the three.
- Installed by name from a catalog entry at the pinned commit (
hermes plugins install llmslim), then set context.engine: llmslim: Hermes selects LLMSlimContextEngine, and compacting the guide's example rewrites only the two tool results and keeps the compacted prefix on the next compaction. No socket, subprocess or file-write events during load and compaction.
hermes mcp test llmslim with the README's mcp_servers snippet connects and lists the 5 memory tools.
ruff check . and ruff format --check . (0.15.21) pass.
