Does anyone have working meters in any skin but "fancy"?

    Hi,

    on my pretty current Ubuntu Studio system, the meters in all but the
    "fancy" GUI don't work. Apparently Qt tries doing them horizontally
    when they should be vertical, and sometimes they appear momentarily when
    the volume is large enough, just to disappear again shortly after (when
    the bar would become so large that it would not fit horizontally in the
    alloted space?).

    Now Qt should be a cross-platform toolkit so this problem should likely
    be apparent on other operating systems. It could, however, depend on
    the version of Qt in use?

    I have

    dpkg -l libqt5gui5
    Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
    | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
    |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
    ||/ Name Version Architecture Description
    +++-================-=====================-============-=================================
    ii libqt5gui5:amd64 5.14.2+dfsg-6 amd64 Qt 5 GUI module

    but don't know whether this is the most relevant module responsible
    here.

    What are other people's experiences with the meters outside of the fancy
    module? Do the metering bars work for them? What OS? What library
    versions?

    Thanks

    Jamulus 3.6.1 on Win10, the meters work correctly for all 3 skins.
    It would probably be worthwhile to make a bug report on github.

    Correction: in the compact skin, the channel meters do work. It's the input meters that are broken in the compact skin. In the standard skin, both input and channel meters are broken, and the fancy skin has both working. Still trying to do a screencast: vokoscreen has been superseded by vokoscreenNG and I have failed so far to record more than about half a second of screencast.
