I can get logged in to a jamulus session, but I cannot hear myself. Should I be able to? I’m trying to connect using a Boss Katana 50 Mk2 amp on Windows 10.

Of course you should be able to hear yourself.
Does that amp unit have its own ASIO driver? have you installed it?
Have you selected the correct ASIO driver in the settings window?
Do you see any movement of the input VU leds in Jamulus (on the main screen at the left) when you play ?
Can you hear others when connected to a Jamulus sesion?
    Can others hear you ?

The amp does have its own driver and it is installed. I was able to successfully record it in audacity.
I have selected the Katana driver in the settings window.
I do see movement on the input leds.
Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a session where there are other active users.

I spoke too soon. I just found an active session. I see the leds of others moving, but hear nothing. I can definitely hear out of speakers or headphones in windows, so it seems that I have something configured wrong in jamulus.

I found some folks that helped me with it. I had to switch from the katana driver to the asio4all driver in jamulus. After doing that, I had to select my sound card as the output and the katana as the input. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Conclusion, the Boss Katana 50 Mk2 amp doesn't have a native ASIO driver.
ASIO4all works but comes with high(er) latency, sometimes twice as high as with a native ASIO driver.
Some people don't care but realize that other Jamulus users also suffer from the fact that you hear everything later due to high latency, you will always playing behind the beat.
So, if you can spend $ 70, do yourself and especially other jamulus users a favor and buy a cheap audio interface with native ASIO drivers, like a Behringer UMC202HD.

Thanks for your feedback. Given that this is the case, I will likely give up on the Jamulus at this time.

Don't give up too early ;-). There may be a possiblity that your audio device runs with lower latency under Linux. There is a "Jamulus Operating System" which you can run from an USB stick (nothing is changed on your hard drive). You may want to try this out if you have a fast USB stick available: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jamulus-os/
