Hello,
we are experiencing a strange behaviour.
One musician is heaving a powernotebook.
If he connects over Wifi, everything is working, he is getting the serverlist and if he connects to my server the volume sliders are visible.
Obviously it is not possible to play over Wifi.
If he connects over LAN, there are no servers anymore. If he connect to my server via ip i can see his Fader but he cant see any faders nor hear everyone.
So far we resetted the ISP-Modem, Disabled virus-scanner and Firewall, resetted the LAN network-Card deleted INI and so on.
He hooked up his old PC and voila, everything is fine.
I’m at the end of my knowledge. I hope someone can help.
Tibor

Hi Tibor - Just so I'm clear: He is at his home and can connect his powernotebook over WiFi to your server, but not over an Ethernet cable plugged in to his router. But when he connects his old PC to that Ethernet cable, it all works OK. Is that right?
If so, that implies the problem is with the powernotebook. Can the powernotebook make any internet connections at all over Ethernet? Can it see the web?

OK in that case the only thing I can think of is that there is some firewall or other issue on the machine that is blocking the UDP port needed for Jamulus. Why that would be the case for Ethernet but not for Wifi is very strange though. Is there anyting in the network settings on the machine that is implying either a fireweall, proxy, or other thing that's not present for the wifi connection?

No, nothing so far.
I turned off the windows firewall and avast.
turned on the firewall and logfile. nothing helps.
I'm a Network-Guy and i think i'm not the dumbest but this drives me crazy
i'd like to prevent installing wireshark ;-)

Yes, everything is fine with LAN connection. I've done remote support with Anydesk as he was connected with LAN

Any ideas @corrados ?

Unfortunately not. Maybe Google helps since this seems not to be a Jamulus specific issue but a general issue.
