I'm currently using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 3 which other wise sounds perfect, however, when I try to use it in Jamulus, the audio comes out garbled and distorted sounding, both for me and others. I can hear other people just fine, but my own audio sounds distorted. I can provide more information if needed on my other settings in Jamulus.

Hi Nate - can you provide more info? What platform are you on, and what settings have you got in Jamulus? BTW I note from the wiki that there is a note on the Focusrite Scarletts:
"if you have issues with the buffer size going to 136 download the updated driver version 4.64.15.598 from http://beta.focusrite.com/"

I'm currently on Windows, I have Audio Channels set to Mono, Audio Quality set to Normal, Jitter Buffer set to Auto, and Buffer Delay set to 5.33 ms. I'll try downloading the updated driver and see if that helps.

Those settings seem OK. You may be able to isolate the issue if you can plug a sound source directly in to the computer (not via the Focusrite) and see if the same thing happens - that is, via a USB port as well as any analog one you might have.
Also, what are the Jamulus status LEDs doing when the sound is garbled. Are they green?

I tried using a different sound source plugged directly into the computer and the same thing happened, this was with the microphone on my headphones and just into the microphone port on my computer. Currently, the delay status LED is red, and the buffer LED kinda flickers between red and green, but is mostly on red. I also found that when I hit the mute myself button it sounds fine in my headphones, not sure exactly what that means though.

Make sure that you are defintitely using the Focusrite with Jamulus and not the PC's internal sound card by mistake (check the ASIO config).
Also, I assume your machine is at or above minimum spec and that you're not running anything else on it apart from Jamulus? If not, then that could be contributing to the issue.

I definitely had the Focusrite ASIO selected, and my pc is above the minimum spec. To totally make sure, I tested it all out on a separate computer, and still got the garbled audio issue. Based on this, I'm think the issue may be with my internet, given that the interface itself works fine, I still get the issue while using a separate sound source, and I still get it on a separate computer, I might be able to test it at a friends house to totally make sure.

Checked that the interface is running at 48k samples/s ? You mention all the other parameters, but not that one.
Don
Yeah, I checked and it is showing 48000 for the sample rate
I assume you are also using an Ethernet connection. Using Wifi can cause those issues.
Update, I've fixed it! I turned the Jitter Buffer off of auto and turned up the settings on that and the audio sounds much better now

Ah, interesting. The subtleties of the Jitter Buffer are always a wonder.
