    Hi there,

first: what a great software jamulus in this strange times! Thanks to all supporting this!

As an IT pro and a musician I successfully set up a private jamulus server on my IONOS cloud server account on Ubuntu 20.04 to have some private band rehearsals. All works like a charm and with quite less latency.

As I also love to go out and join open sessions I first would like to do a quick check with my phone or tablet what's going on out there and to see If there are any active sessions online. If so, I spontaneously could go to my musicians room in the cellar and start going online with my notebook equipment.
The idea is to have a small server side app running to show up the current active server list. The same simple list that is shown if I connect via jamulus client app.
Perhaps, to not to flood the central servers, the list may be only updated when refreshing the web page in the browser.

    Question:
Is there perhaps any kind of such service already available or a chance to create one (perhaps to ask a central server by REST-API)?

It would be really great to have such a feature. And because the jamulus app already has such functionality it should be easy to provide this extra information as a (RESTful) service.

I would appreciate any information on that idea. What do you think?

    best, Chris

    hey Mike,
exactly what I was looking for!
    Thanks a lot!!
It should be mentioned in the wiki, or did I miss that?
    Chris

I fell over this page one day when googling for extra jamulus support forums, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. Maybe it is inofficial.
    Cheers
