Firstly, I love this project, it's great. I've used it in conjunction with jacktrip and webRTC video streaming to produce broadcast quality live music performances with great results. I'd be happy to share some links to private videos of our very pleasing results with people privately.
I work in outside broadcast television where we regularly use IP audio codecs (such as comrex) for audio communications. I've been spending some time lately investigating to possibility of building a more "open source" version of this that could run on raspberry Pi's. The basic concept is we have site A and B where we need to provide two way comms across multiple channels for engineers and production staff to communicate.
It strikes me that jamulus offers all the tools required to do this and could be adapted to make a very useful and powerful tool.
There are a few options out there like TRX and openOB, but these are very old projects. I've been looking at using gstreamer to do something similar, but am a little way off.
If anyone is interested in this, or might even be able to point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Can you elaborate on the nature of the "communication" here? If it's audio, then what is Jamulus missing as it stands?
