One of the larger hassles with music teachers and technology is walking younger students and/or parents through setting up their client optimally. And each student's setup will be different according to Internet speeds, platform, audio devices, etc.
1) It would be great to have a server side or teacher-side ability to control the settings on clients. I could then experiment with buffers, jitter buffers, quality, etc. to get an optimal setup, and then if situations deteriorate, I can adjust it without having to interrupt the lesson as much.
Current workaround is to use something like Zoom to control their screen.
2) Also it would be useful to have a deep linking URL I could send to the student which they could click to automatically launch the app and connect to my private server.

Hi Henry - I think some of these have been mentioned here (albeit in a more technical context), but it would involve quite large changes to Jamulus I would imagine.
Yes, that could work to enable these capabilities. Brian's vision is much larger than what the average independent music teacher needs, but the separation of the functionality from the UI could easily open a whole new group of apps. Thanks!
