i am thinking if its possible to create a Docker stack for jamulus and netpd (https://www.netpd.org/).
The idea would be to have a jamming room that enables collaborative electronic music, along with analog instruments. Besides: i am really greatful for the existance of the Jamulus docker, but imho its not a well made container, i.e. that you can only setup server parameters at container image creation is not only unusual, its not how docker containers are supposed to work. In any case, there is room for improvement.
To go back to the netpd & jamulus combo: it woulf be necessary to insert server generated sounds into the jamulus practice room. I havent seen any options to "inject" sound directly into the server, without using a client, otoh i havent seen a headless client... does this exist, is this planned - or is it possible to directly insert sounds channels into the server without a client?
cheers, t

The docker container is not maintained by corrados. Feel free to submit an issue or pull request to https://github.com/grundic/jamulus-docker -- that would be much more visible, instead of mentioning it here :)

Maybe you didnt completely read the question, the Docker container was merely mentioned as the type of installation. The main question is / was about injecting sound to the server OR running a headless client.

There aren't options to inject sound directly in the server, however there should already be an headless client mode (never tried).
I cannot find any mention of a headless client, could you point me to where you read about that option?
As I told I never tried, however is mentioned in some threads, including this one from Volker: https://sourceforge.net/p/llcon/discussion/software/thread/5c722233d2/?limit=25#2bd9
The
--nogui
option is for both client and server.thanks for the infos, very helpful
