Hi everyone - I'm new to Jamulus and really psyched by the potential of it. I had everything set up and it seemed to be working the way it should last week but when I went to try it out yesterday, after entering 127.0.0.1, I found I wasn't able to get past the "Trying to Connect" notification (see screenshot).

I tried it again this morning and Im getting the same thing. Does anyone know what I need to do to get connected from this point? I did download a new version of Jamulus yesterday - could that be a factor?

    Many thanks in advance- Ian

Use the pc's (that runs the jamulus server) real (given) ip address, most likely starting with 192.168.X.X .

Thanks - do you mean instead of 127.0.0.1? If so, I'm getting the same result...

Well, I've tried a few things now - my local laptop (Mac) IP as well as my public IP address and some variations thereof - I do seem to be able to connect with any public network on the list no problem - just not my own!

Which IP address are you referring to exactly then?

The ip-adres of the pc running Jamulus-server!
Please tell me what IP address you enter when trying to connect, otherwise I can't help you.
Do you know what an Ip-adres is?

Hi Luuk - okay, I see what was happening now and I've got it working - your advice really helped - many thanks! I just needed to un-tick the public network box and conncet using my local computer IP. Cheers!
