I have on my machine:


/home/root# libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.2 (1.922.2.53 2001/09/11 03:18:52)


What is ALMOST the same what Jon has:


[jgrimm@touki bin]$ libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.2 (1.922.2.54 2001/09/11 03:33:37)


But on my PC it was not running correctly.
tar xvfmz helped me.
