Keep getting an error message saying that SOX failed in saving WAV audio. This happens in different versions on different Linux distributions, ie Sabayon, Arch and PCLinuxOS. Apparently more of an issue with SOX? But doesn't happen with any other video editors.

What's the exact error ?
I can't remember exactly. It's a reference call to the SOX translator with the command line parameters and a message saying there was an error writing the WAV file to my livestmp directory. I tried to duplicate it to get the exact error, but of course, that time it decided to work. If I get it again I'll paste it in.
I am also unable to use x264 at all. These are the errors I get:
avformat detected format: avi
AVFormat supported stream
- format = avi (AVI (Audio Video Interleaved))
- start time = 0
- duration = 275999724
lives: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64//lives/plugins/decoders/zzavformat_decoder.so: undefined symbol: av_close_input_file
plugin error: "/usr/lib64/lives/plugins/encoders/x264_encoder" init2>/ /dev/null failed with code 255
It crashes quite a bit on the first error.
This is version 2.2.6, it was the only recent version I could get to compile; others exited with a "no recipe for make all" error.
Version 1.7.x was working great until I did a system update on Arch. You think I'd learn by now...
Now that the x264 encoder isn't working at all I can't duplicate the error. It always happened when trying to use x264.
The av_close_input_file bug was fixed in 2.2.7 or 2.2.8.
The latest version is 2.4.0. You can try compiling that and send me the output of "make".
Done. Thanks
Is this still a bug or can I close it ?
