Just apt lives version from Debian Squeeze 1.0 and tried to open 4gensclip.mpg included in Demos page. Starts correctly and loads it correctly, but as soon as i hit "play" button it crashes, also tried appliying a realtime effect, it works except when i hit "preview" button. File is correct tested with mplayer.
I am including lives output, strace and core text file.
(strace is tailed 2000 lines and core is texted due to file upload limit)
output, strace and core_txt
Thanks for the bug reported and detailed analyis. Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce this here and the crash logs show nothing of any use (not your fault). At this point the likelihood of a fix seems minimal.
Hi,
I can run any debugging at your command. Just let me know.
I dont have a much modified "squeeze" distro... so should be failing in any standard linked libraries that may be due to update.. will try to gather some more information.
Thanks and regards.
Is it just this particular clip which makes it crash or is it the same with other clips ?
Tried to open a dv file from kino, same issue.
Tried creating a clip with 5 jpg images, i can play and change speed, but suddlenly crashes on a resize clip menu and leaves the mouse in cursor mode.
Can you try with the latest version from debian testing (1.2.1). ?I think the version in squeeze is very old and probably broken.
Marking as invalid as we do not officially support Squeeze.
Wait a moment...squeeze is testing right ?
In that case, please try installing LiVES 1.3.2:
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/lives
or even better LiVES 1.3.3 when it becomes available in a few days.
Then let me know if this issue is still occurring.
Is this still a problem, or can I close this bug now ?
