Electronic equipment that is capable of making a connection with the livemap server. A device might have a GPS capability but does not necessarily have to. Examples of devices are mobile phones and tablets.
Equipment or label that needs a device to connect with the livemap server. Normally a small active or passive identification tag with limited detection range. Examples of tags are iBeacons and QR codes.
A GPS/GSM tracker updates its location on the livemap server. The most recent location shows up on the map.
One or more iBeacons are fitted on static objects. When your mobile detects an iBeacon the ID of the beacon is updated on the server. On the map your mobile device shows up with the (fixed) location of the iBeacon.
An iBeacon is fitted on a mobile object, like a car. When a mobile device with GPS detects the iBeacon the ID is updated on the server. On the map the tagged object shows up with the location of the mobile device.
One or more devices are fitted on static objects. When a device detects a tagged object (iBeacon) the ID of the beacon is updated on the server. On the map the tagged object show up with the fixed location of the device.
