The app works great for finding "lost" songs... but it breaks the playlist that it's editing. In VirtualDJ (and other) m3u playlists, there's extra commented (#) information, such as "time played", "last play time", and "file size". There can be other info as well depending on the list. This application removes that information when it goes in and updates the filepath - but it shouldn't be touching the comments (#EXTVDJ...) at all! #EXTVDJ:<time>19:04</time><lastplaytime>1486771498</lastplaytime><filesize>6252614</filesize>...

In "Find Closest Match" sub window enable it to filter by size/ type. This would enable replacing higher bit rate versions of old songs also allow you to replace say mp3's with flac or hi res versions of the songs Cheers Boy
Add "Find closest match" button so right click not necessary The way i use the program this button would be a big help :-) Cheers Boy
Too bad it's broken on Ubuntu and Linux Mint version 20.3 still I just get stuck loading in the splash screen and I've already tried updating Java it doesn't do anything.
I have been looking for something that worked like this for many, many years. Somehow I never found it until today. Wow, what a HUGE time saver for me!!! Thank you SO MUCH for making this program. It works perfectly once you figure it out and wow!! Thank you!!!!!
You can adjust the font. Make it bigger
EDIT: Oops, this is four years ago!!! I will leave it anyway just in case it helps someone. I use Winamp for music but using this program to fix my playlists worked perfectly. I was fixing m3u playlists, though, not m3u8 lists so possibly convert it to an m3u playlist or saving them as m3u playlists would work? You put the playlist into the box where it shows you the list and what's broken. You fix it by highlighting it all and fixing any that it brings up as closest matches THEN you MUST save the...

You put the playlist into the box where it shows you the list and what's broken. You fix it by highlighting it all and fixing any that it brings up as closest matches THEN you MUST save the playlist so the whole thing says OK. Once you do that, it should work everywhere. I hope this...
Hello firewyre, I would like to migrate listFix() to Github https://github.com/Borewit/listFix. What I would like to do: Preserve as much history and accuracy of the original SVN repo. Restoring, branches & tags, I also would like to convert authors to their respective GitHub account, if that is possible. Convert the releases to GitHub releases (linked to tags). Migrate to Java 17, release a version of listFix() with Java embedded I am no drastic changes in mind, I just want to extend the life of...

As nobody is looking into that high-dpi prioblem and there's another issue with UTF8 files without BOM, I'd like to do that myself. I'm actually an experienced embedded developer, but haven't done anything in Java yet - can't be too complicated, eh? :) Can anyone give me a hint how to set up a proper IDE so I get listfix running?

The ListFix app opens with a TINY screen (TINY unreadable small fonts...) if I start it on my laptop, which has a high-dpi screen. Has anyone looked into that problem already? Thanks! Ralf
So this program dosen't seem to do anything but break a already broken playlist, essentially doing anything but fix them. Trying to fix a M3U8 playlist file that I moved over from my phone. The program shows it being fixed but running the file in VLC (or Windows Media Player) shows it does not fix it. VLC loses it's mind and runs a never ending error window (what is usually does when a playlist is broken and the files cannot be found), while WMP just out right says the playlist is corrupt. Rather...
