Actually, something of a long shot here, but I suspect that on gentoo my = lirc 0.6.6 got build with --with-driver=3Dany. Would this actually add = in support for the winfast_tv2000 or could that be the problem? Thanks -----Original Message----- From: Edward Wildgoose=20 Sent: 25 March 2003 12:45 To: lir...@li... Subject: Problem compiling from CVS on gentoo Hi, I am really struggling to get lirc compiled. Gentoo has most packages pretty much up to date, however, running = ./autogen.sh gives the following output: gentoo lirc # ./autogen.sh processing /root/lirc/lirc Running libtoolize... You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal. Running aclocal ... Running autoheader... Running automake --gnu ... Makefile.am:7: require version 1.5, but have 1.4-p5 daemons/Makefile.am:86: else after else daemons/Makefile.am:83: install-exec-local multiply defined in condition daemons/Makefile.am:84: uninstall-local multiply defined in condition Running autoconf ... And probably as a result of this, no Makefile is generated, either after = this, or after running ./setup.sh Can anyone give me a clue as to what is the wrong version? Everything = seems to be up to date... Version 0.6.6 has an ebuild available which compiles OK, but I have had = little success getting either my Leadtek Winfast 2000XP remote working = with lirc_gpio nor my X10 MP3 thing working with lirc_serial (and a = config file from CVS. Can anyone confirm that I do/don't need to try CVS to get either of = these working properly? The Leadtek, almost seems to work, the kernel = module loads, but there is no output with irw. lirc_serial seems to do = nothing (I used setserial to disable kernel serial drivers), however, = there is no /dev/lirc device created, no clues in syslog either (should = I even expect anything to happen when using 0.6.6 and the X10 thing = though?)
