Can't compile Lirc at all!

Hi,

I,ve dowloaded lirc-0.6.6 configured it winth setup.sh for hauppage tv
card and for X. Configure went well but the last row tells me that I
need "lirc_i2c kernel module". Ok, I "tried" to ignore, run make and
gaved me errors of course. What should I do? Nothing said in the docs
about this...
