cannot get buttons 1-10 working correctly w/pctv and xawtv

here is my ~/.lircrc
8 goes to 13, 7 goes to 12, 9 goes to 14, 4 goes to 7, 5 goes to 8, 6 goes 
to 10...

how do i fix all this?
