I tested around 10 of the Panasonic PNA4602 modules. They ranged from 100us to 180us pulse stretching. 130us was about average. The single radio shack module showed around 200us pulse stretch. I changed my testing method to use two computers. On one, I have a program feed lirc_serial an output signal of 500us pulse, 500us space(10 of these,38khz modulation). These looked pretty accurate on the scope and the frequency counter. On the second box I just run mode2 and watch the outcome. I should get pulse 500, space 500. But it is skewed as pulse 600, space 400 for example(so this is 100us stretch). I'd be interested in testing some other receiver modules, if anyone knows of any small-qty sources of these in the US please let me know. Or if anyone could do some testing like this on some other modules, it would be interesting to see the outcome. |
