Dig around on your RedHat CDs (or favorite mirror FTP site) and install the xmms-devel package. On my 7.1 machine, it's xmms-devel-1.2.4-13. It is needed to compile plug-ins for xmms. Hope that solves your problem. -Phil On Sat, 29 Sep 2001, Charles Moon wrote: > Upon "./configure"ing the XMMS Plugin source lirc-xmms-plugin-1.2.tar.gz = on > a Redhat 7.1 workstation installation w/ XMMS version 1.2.4, I get the > following: >=20 > checking for XMMS - version >=3D0.9.5.1... no=20 > "*** The xmms-config script installed by XMMS could not be found." > "*** If XMMS was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in" > "*** your path, or set the XMMS_CONFIG environment variable to the" > "*** full path to xmms-config." > configure: error: *** XMMS >=3D0.9.5.1 not installed - please install fir= st > *** >=20 > The meaning of this is not so apparent to me.
