Hi, I am new to lirc, and having a simple question here. Hope someone could help me. I installed lirc on my Raspberry Pi, using Raspbian OS. I followed a tutorial I found online, and got stuck. When I executed 'irrecord -d /dev/lirc0 ~/lircd.conf' the very first time, I got this prompt: 'Now start pressing buttons on your remote control. It is very important that you press many different buttons and hold them down for approximately one second. Each button should generate at least one dot but in no case more than ten dots of output. Don't stop pressing buttons until two lines of dots (2x80) have been generated.' Then I pressed the button on my remote, but no matter how hard I pressed the button, it only show 4 dots, which is far less than two lines of dots. I just don't know how to solve that and continue. I have searched online for a while, but there is nothing useful. The problem occurs when i am using the remote for my Gree Air Conditioner. But the software works fine with the remote of TV. I am sure the hardware is okay, and the IR signal is received well. I guess it's the software's problem here. So, does anyone have a clue what might go wrong? Thanks a million!
