Re: upgrading from 0.8.3 to 0.9.0 on Debian

OK, I've gotten my Wheezy system back to the non-working state it was in
before I messed it up more by trying to fix it...

Using Stefan's recommendations for setserial, hardware.conf, depmod, etc.
here is what I've got now:

lirc is at version 0.9.0~pre1-1
lirc_serial and lirc_dev are loaded
lircd is running

When I run the following commands as root, my IR blaster LED lights, but I
get no response from the receiver.

irsend SEND_ONCE vip211k 5
irsend SEND_ONCE vip211k menu

Any ideas what to check next?

Here is my /etc/lirc/lircd.conf, which worked under Squeeze.  I've trimmed
out most of the button sections so as not to violate the list's maximum
post size.
