After 'make install' Why are you doing a 'make install' at all? Fedora has all the needed bits already. > I have no lirc device (/dev/lirc does not exist) so none of the programs work. If I manually install lirc_dev.ko and lirc_serial.ko I get a /dev/lirc0 device. If I disable ttyS0, and start lircd, then I am able to run mode2 and irrecord successfully. Its fully expected that you have to disable the standard serial driver and load the lirc_serial driver by hand. > If I try to send a code using irsend I get the "hardware does not support sending" error. > What do I need to do to enable sending? Sounds like you may have overridden the Fedora kernel's provided lirc_dev and lirc_serial, with an lirc_serial that wasn't built with transmit support enabled. What does 'modinfo lirc_serial' say? -- Jarod Wilson ja...@wi... |
