I have mythtv installed and my sat provider uses a variant of the Pace DS830 stb. It looks like this: http://www.pace.com/global/products-capabilities/products/ds830/ , and is described as HD 831 in my providers site (http://www.nova.gr/en-us/products/1643-.cmt?) > > The computer has opensuse 11.4 x86_64 (2.6.37.1-1.2). I installed the media_build dvb drivers (http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain,_Build_and_Install_V4L-DVB_Device_Drivers). I installed lirc 0.9.0. > > In /dev I have: > > crw------- 1 root root 249, 0 Μάι 17 10:39 /dev/lirc0 > lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Μάι 17 10:39 /dev/lircd -> /var/run/lirc/lircd > > My /etc/lirc/hardware.conf is: > > #Chosen IR Transmitter > TRANSMITTER="HD-PVR" > LOAD_MODULES=true > TRANSMITTER_MODULES="lirc_dev lirc_zilog" > TRANSMITTER_DRIVER="" > TRANSMITTER_DEVICE="/dev/lirc0" > TRANSMITTER_SOCKET="" > TRANSMITTER_LIRCD_CONF="" > TRANSMITTER_LIRCD_ARGS="" > > I copied the lircd.conf from http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/lmilk/lircd.conf and I also included in it the remote that is described in the DS830NS pace remote file (which I found when I unzipped the remotes.bz2 archive). > > The script that sends the poweroff commands fails to interract with the stb (the light blinks but there is no response). > > I tried using irsend with the remote described in the pace file but failed. > > # irsend SEND_ONCE Pace_DS830NS ok > irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE Pace_DS830NS ok > irsend: transmission failed > > Is this because the lirc_zilog module doesn't undersand the language in the pace remote? The zilog module *only* works with that specific lircd.conf, which is a table of index values for the binary "firmware" blob. It doesn't work with any raw IR configs, such as that Pace one. > Am I missing something? Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm afraid that if none of the signals interact with your stb when running that power button script, you're probably out of luck trying to use zilog for tx right now. -- Jarod Wilson ja...@wi... |
