Doesn't really matter, they're both supported. Well, receive is
supported on both. Transmit isn't yet supported on the original
device. Also, its not the *remote* that dictates if its 1 or 2,
its the transceiver device. Remotes are interchangeable between
the two.

Um... No clue. I'm not even sure what you're talking about. But lirc
can handle multiple protocols/channels/freqs/etc. just fine.
