Stupid mistake. I hate when you've been working for so long you start messing up dumb stuff. I was using the wrong driver. I was using root@media:/home/media# lircd -n -H macmini -d /dev/lirc0 I SHOULD be using root@media:/home/media# lircd -n -H defualt -d /dev/lirc0 Seems to work now.
