I lost the link to this post of mine, and I spent days to find it again with
google, maybe to lack of good keywords in the thread... So I add some ones:
this thread is about the discrete IR code for "rec" key (record) on LG dvd
recorder RH 255, which was obtained by means of reverse engineering of known
remote control codes.

Known codes are in file " http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/lg/6711R1P070B

repository .

I also found PRONTO discrete IR codes for two other functions, not linked to
any existing key on the remote:
