Thanks for your responses guys ;-) I tried in one of the attempts, as I read somewhere, to block the device being capted by hal, and i was able to do it adding a rule on /usr/share/hal/fdi/preprobe/20thirdparty , file: lirc.fdi Instead of having: <match key="info.product" contains_ncase="saa7134 ir"> I changed it to: <match key="info.product" contains_ncase="15c2:0041"> So hal doesn't enable it as being an HID device. You said to add device list entries for it similar to the 15c2:ffdc , you mean tweaking the imon knob configuration and see what happens? Also, the device says to be a Soundgraph one. What i bought was this: http://www.soundgraph.com/Eng_/Products/imon23.aspx?topMenu=2&subMenu=2&leftMenu=23 But, as you posted, Antec builds it exactly the same as this link you posted: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999190 It's exactly the same (same accesory, like the usb cable extend with clip) even the box looks the same way :-D I'll do some other test and see what happens. Thanks again for your time.
