Could you kindly help me please? I tell you what I did, so that you can tell me where I get wrong. At the end, of course I will glad to post my lircd.conf here. 1. # aptitude install lirc 2. $ cat /proc/bus/input/device 3. # nano /etc/lirc/hardware.conf >>> DRIVER=dev/input >>> DEVICE=/dev/input/event7 4. # /etc/init.d/lirc stop 5. $ irrecord -H samsung -d /dev/input/event7 ~/prova-01.txt At this stage I receive the following error: > irrecord - application for recording IR-codes for usage with lirc > > Copyright (C) 1998,1999 Christoph Bartelmus(li...@ba...) > > irrecord: initializing '/dev/input/event7' > irrecord: unable to open '/dev/input/event7' > irrecord: could not init hardware (lircd running ? --> close it, check > permissions) Of course lircd is not running. Where could it be the problem? It is just that I have to install lirc-modules-source with module-install (but I still can't install linux-headers for 2.6.25-r5), or it is just/also another problem? Thanks for your support, giopas ps: I run Debian SID/Experimental and, as you've guest, I never used lirc before! :D |
