I'd like to be able to see the data sent to the unix domain socket when I issue a command using irsend. I have lirc 0.8.2 working and am able to issue commands and change channels, etc no problem. What I'd like to do is to see the ir codes as transmitted, and I thought that irw was the command to use, but I don't get any output from it. I'm starting irw with: /usr/local/bin/irw or /usr/local/bin/irw /dev/lircd When I issue: irsend SEND_ONCE DCT2000 CH+ I see the following in the log and the channel changes accordingly: Nov 19 10:07:33 linuxdevstation lircd: accepted new client on /dev/lircd Nov 19 10:07:33 linuxdevstation lircd: removed client But I don't see any output in the irw terminal. I've started lircd with this command in /etc/init.d/lirc: /usr/local/sbin/lircd --driver=default --device=/dev/lirc0 --output=/dev/lircd --pidfile=/var/run/lircd.pid Thanks in advance. -- Ed |
