Hey I've setup lirc and it seems to be running. I installed from the ubuntu rep= ositories and i am running ubuntu :D I have a PixelView Play TV Pro 2 card. command im using to insert driver is:=20 modprobe --remove bt878 bttv modprobe bttv radio=3D1 card=3D70 tuner=3D38 automute=3D0 audiomux=3D33,32,= 35,40 bttv_verbose=3D0 gbuffers=3D8 gpiomask=3D0x3F modprobe btaudio Tv goes fine. Radio i had to switch my radio program to use /dev/video0 ins= tead of /vid/radio0??? seems stupid to me but thats what i had to do. cat /proc/bus/input/devices gives this for my card: I: Bus=3D0001 Vendor=3D109e Product=3D036e Version=3D0001 N: Name=3D"bttv IR (card=3D70)" P: Phys=3Dpci-0000:05:07.0/ir0 S: Sysfs=3D/class/input/input10 H: Handlers=3Dkbd event7=20 B: EV=3D100003 B: KEY=3D2c0814 10000400000000 0 402008000 209000002001 1e000000004400 ffc Then i run this to get lirc running: sudo lircd -n -d /dev/input/event7 -H dev/input (i have -n for debugging at= m :S) i get this: lircd-0.8.2-CVS[11261]: lircd(userspace) ready then i open another terminal and run: irrecord --device /dev/lircd test2 theoretically this should once finished right a file called test2 to the cu= rrent directory with all the info i need. I get a whole lot of info about remote controls then hit enter It says press RETURN now to start recording. so i do. Then i point the remo= te at the receiver and start mashing buttons. Nothing comes up. Then after what i suppose is 10 seconds i get this. irrecord: no data for 10 secs, aborting irrecord: gap not found, can't continue I just want to be able to point the remote at the recevier and be able to c= hange channels launch Gnome Radio (by pressing radio button) change volume = and launch XawTV (by power button). The other buttons dont matter too much = to me but it would be nice to get them to go too. Any help is much appreciated. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
