Hello, Is there any reason other than a hardware problem why my DVICO remote would have stopped working when everything appears to be configured correctly? - the kernel module loads: [ 49.527919] usbcore: registered new interface driver hiddev [ 49.536535] hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [DVICO DVICO USB HID Remocon V1.00] on usb-0000:00:03.2-1 and when I run "/usr/sbin/lircd --driver=dvico --device=/dev/hiddev0" and then run a client application, lirc logs: Jun 21 19:58:26 xoanon lircd-0.7.2[5239]: accepted new client on /dev/lircd Jun 21 19:58:26 xoanon lircd-0.7.2[5239]: initializing '/dev/hiddev0' yet neither that client application nor irw receives any keystrokes from my remote (though the remote's LED flashes in sync with the buttons I press, as it usually does, and changing batteries doesn't help). I'm thinking I might have to physically take the remote apart and see if I can see if there's anything awry, unless there are any other ideas? -- Jeremy Malcolm LLB (Hons) B Com Internet and Open Source lawyer, IT consultant, actor host -t NAPTR 1.0.8.0.3.1.2.9.8.1.6.e164.org|awk -F!
