Duncan, thanks for the hints. I will re-check this evening what modules are being built, but I'm almost sure I don't have neither the lirc_i2c because I'm using the dev/event lirc interface, nor the ir_kbd_i2c because it is not a dependency of the cx88 kernel module, so basically there should not be the 'bad interaction' problem mentioned by Keith. My (and Chris') problem is that I don't get _any_ event out of the event interface. Just yesterday there was some activity on the video4linux list on this topic. Seems that the HVR-1300 remote is really not currently supported by the event interface driver. I attach some relevant messages below for those interested who are not subscribed to that list, please excuse the slight OT. raffaele ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >> I tried to get the remote control working with my HVR-1300 as well. >> With no success. I yesterday tried some debugging with some assist from Nickolay, but we could not get any info, and samples stay all zero. There are some posts on the v4l-dvb mailing list having the same problem. I would like to help on that, because practicing throwing the remote at a specific key on my keyboard would be long way ;) I would provide any information thats needed. Frank |
