Hello all,
I'm new to the mail group. I've searched high and low for the
answers to my problem.
I have an imon LCD display w/built-in IR receiver. The remote that
came with it, the imon-pad, pretty much sucks, so I would like to
use the MCE remote that came with my Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500 MCE-
Kit instead. I would prefer to keep using the built-in IR receiver,
rather than the usb receiver that came with the 500. I can't seem
to do this yet.
What I've done so far:
I've set the alias in modprobe.conf to 'alias char-major-61 lirc-
imon'.
I've tried to use the lircd.conf file and lircrc file that came
with the latest MythDora for mceusb2.
I have been unable to determine why this doesn't work. My hunch is
that a particular lircd.conf file must be based on a particular IR
receiver.
So next I tried to use the irrecord utility. Everything seems to go
okay with the actual recording until the end when I'm told that I
have an 'Invalid toggle bit.' I don't know what that means.
In looking at the resulting file, there are only a few codes and
they are repeated for several buttons each. Running irw confirms
this as pressing a single button multiple times results in
different names being shown.
So I'm wondering what the problem(s) may be and how to overcome
them.
Thanks.
