Yes I was refering to the Xbox1 and its DVD remote kit.
As you said it works nicly with the Lirc_atiusb driver.
I had to add the vendor and device ID 0xffff,0xffff to handle my Chinese 
variant of the kit.
This will colide with the xpad driver where the same fix has been 
implemented to handle clones but maybee it  should be considered for the 
Lirc_atiusb driver too.

Since it works with this driver there is no need to dig further into the xir 
driver.
