I just got an AST/Logitech receiver and was playing around with it and with an swk-8630 keyboard that went with a lot of webtv type boxes. Some of the keys on the keyboard register as mouse movements using this remote. I ran irrecord, recording the keyboard and it seemed to record keys for everything on the keyboard. However, when I tried using that conf file, none of the keys for the keyboard responded (except the ones from before, and not as keyboard keys). I bring this up because this receiver has been reported to be used with this keyboard with some Windows applications (http://www.remoteselector.com/remotes.htm). Fiddling around with the keyboard and Logitech remote using a homebrew IR receiver, I found that I could only record either the keyboard or remote in raw mode and that the signal lengths are considerably different. Is there some way I can rewrite either the logitech driver to accept keys from the keyboard or adjust it so that it ignores keys from the keyboard? -- James Klaas Sufficiently advanced satire is indistinguishable from reality. |
