Ben, I look forward to hearing the answer to your question. Your problems sound quite similar to my problems in a recent post "Using ReplayTV 4000 or 5000 remote with LIRC." Similiarities are: * I don't get consistent results from mode2 or irrecord. * Even if I use a remote with an existing config file, it still doesn't irw still doesn't recognize the buttons pushed on the remote. * I could get another remote to work just fine; just not the remote I want to work.
