hardware IR send/receive brands

Hi!
I'm a bit lost after reading several manuals about lirc and IR.
Can somebody give me some links or list of companies which make IR 
devices which are supported by lirc driver and can receive and send IR 
signals to tv remotes and satellite receivers?
It can be serial(more supported by linux?) or USB.
The best if it isn't company in US or UK, because presently I stay in 
Taiwan.
I found Tekram 210L SIR or FIR , but I read that I need build driver.
I also found http://www.actisys.com/IrDAProd.html, but they said that it 
doesn't support linux drivers and cannot send and receive signalst 
from/to satellite receivers or tv remotes?
