There is no secret...and the hardware DOES support transmitting... However you must make sure you are using a driver >v0.23 since the old drivers do not support transmitting. So please upgrade to the latest lirc version and see if that helps. Actually, everyone having trouble with devices not responding should upgrade to the latest cvs version 1.27 since it includes support for changing the carrier frequency. Older revisions only uses a hardware default which is way of for most devices. With this version you should at least get the more reasonable lirc default of 38kHz if nothing else is specified in your configuration. Revision 1.27 also contains some reception improvements regarding compatibility with non genuine Microsoft devices. /Daniel M |
