XRC compilation impossible, anyone have a predone copy?

It seems that I am one of many that cannot compile XRC (and tkremote is =
a joke), so... A. does anyone know why XRC fails on make with a million =
errors (I'm using QT3 by the way), and how to fix it? B. Does anyone =
have a precompiled/packaged copy?  C. Are there any other alternative =
programs?  I can't see the point of posting a application that's not =
maintained and doesn't work.
