Hi all, I would like to be able to switch modes for irexec without having to press a key to do so. The situation is as follows: I have several keys on my remote bound to actions for irexec, however sometimes I would like to launch mplayer and have irexec enter a different mode, instead sending control codes through to my set top box. When I exit mplayer, I would then like to return irexec to its normal configuration. It seems from reading this page: http://www.lirc.org/html/configure.html#lircrc_format that you can only switch modes through a keypress, but I found it quite difficult to understand. Should I wrap the launching of mplayer in a script that kills irexec, starts it with a different lircrc performing the actions I want and then kills and restarts it again afterwards, with the normal lircrc? Thanks for any help, Robin |
