Hi All, First some specs lirc-0.8.2-66_cvs20070301.fc6.at x86_64 2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 I am using lirc for mythtv. And here is the situation. I have 2 IR receivers, one is a homebrew serial receiver from irblaster.infoand the other is the built in PVR-150 receiver. What I am seeing is this, when using any remote with the serial receiver, after a while it stops responding, no errors in any of the logs(mythtv, or any system log). However, when using the PVR-150 receiver with the Hauppauge remote, it works fine and never crashes out. So, here is my theory. My wife is slightly deaf, so she watches TV with the remote in hand and finger on the volume. The volume is directly controling my receiver and does not pass through my myth box. However, the serial receiver is still trying to process all those signals(I think). I do not have those signals mapped or even setup as a known remote, but I beleive there is still some processing that is done. As far as how much does she use the volume, well there is a red led that lights up and it is pretty much always on while she is watching. When I switch to the PVR-150 receiver, it only process a certain signal protocol, the volume does not use this protocol, so therefore all is good. Does this theory make sense? Is it possible? What can I do? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jake |
