I never did find a reason for the loss of the 0 command. Hard drive failed and I upgraded my install to Slackware 11.1 on the same hardware and the problem disappeared. But I had tried everything I could think of to fix it. Good to know someone is using my script. It seems to be a rare bug that will probably never be fixed till one of the Dev's have it.
