Hi, I got lirc_atiusb to work with my ATI Remote Wonder remote in SuSE 10.2 x86_64. lirc ver. 0.80, kernel ver. 2.6.18. The device is working with lirc driver, after I removed the ati_remote module. The problem is, that the range, in which the device is operational is too short, less than 2 meters. Running irw I can see the buttons pressed only in that range. And even than, sometime no keypress is detected, and I need to "waive" with the remote like with wang to make it work. I dualboot this machine, and under Windows XP, the range of the device is more like 7-10 meters (i.e. I haven't tried a longer distance). Btw, the same problem exists with the ati_remote module, the receiver does not get signals if the remote is more than 2 meters away. As I understand (I may be wrong) the codebase for both drivers is the same - from GATOS project, so it may explain the similarities in their behavior. Is there something I can tune/fix/provide parameters, so I can really use my remote? -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. |
